Oh, right, I have to teach classes, too.

I am here, after all, to teach advanced reading. I have three classes of about 20 students each. Most of them are 16-19 years old. The program has about 320 students--200 from Lithuania, about 30 fromLatvia and Poland, several from Russia and Belarus, a couple of from Finland, and one from Moldova and from Kyrgyzstan.

We've only had one class, which went just fine. They got every one of my bad American jokes. We meet M-F, so we'll be going fast.

Sandy will probably do one on one conversation activities with students who sign up for the extra discussion time. There are also plenty of extracurricular activities (sports, games, tea, a BBQ) in the evening, and I expect we'll do some of those, too.

Ange and Sandy,

Looks like American consumerism is alive and well in Lithuania. That mall is scarey.
