Questions of Life

Sandy and I have hosted 3 sessions of this group, Questions of Life, in which we are presenting some basic material about God's character, the bible, prayer, etc., and then letting the question and answer period run its course.

At today's session, five students came (the summer chaplain, Kel, who has been working in Klaipeda for about 5 years--I think, was hoping for a group of about 6), and we had a nice conversation about "what God has done for the world." Kel's wife, Sharon, says they were thinking about our conversation...she could see it in their faces.

These 5, like most, generally, have a sense of God, though they have a lot of questions they want to ask. That's where our group is supposed to help. We stimulate interest and questioning, answer the basic questions, encourage more learning and thinking, and then try to get them plugged in to a church in their hometowns. (Kel knows a wide variety of churches around the country and region.)

Please pray for this group. We have 3 more sessions, and it would be great to see these same five (and any others who desire) again. You might also pray for Kel and Sharon. They're a delightful couple planting a church here in Klaipeda, as well as running numerous programs at a local orphanage.
