Kaunas (Sorry, had layout problems with this)

St. Michael's Church, on one end of the walking street that runs the length of the main part of Kaunas, and ends in the old town.

Old town Kaunas, with the requisite narrow cobblestone streets and old churches.

This brick church is where we sat in on Mass.

This building is right behind the very nice and modern hotel where we stayed. The best I can figure is that it was a partly completed apartment building that was abandoned.

There were several elaborate paintings up on top, including one of Blossom, the Power Puff Girl.

A statue of King Vytautus the Great, standing atop the four great foes that Lithuania has had to endure/conquer--Tatars, Poles, Russians and Germans. The Russian is supposed to look like Lenin.
